Baseball Recap: Knob Noster's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Holden on Thursday, Knob Noster came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Boonville Pirates by a score of 3-1 on Friday.

Knob Noster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Cantrell, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Avery Jackson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Knob Noster's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Boonville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knob Noster will face off against Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Minutemen at the right time seeing as the Minutemen are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Boonville, they will square off against Kirksville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
