Volleyball Recap: Davidson Fine Arts Takes a Loss

Davidson Fine Arts lost against Burke County back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans lost 3-0 to the Bears. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Davidson Fine Arts was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-10.

Brooklyn Moss paced Davidson Fine Arts' offense, picking up six kills. Moss got some help from Jane Pennington and her six assists. Moss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Maritza Rivera was nothing short of spectacular for Burke County: she had eight digs and five aces.

Davidson Fine Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 21-19. As for Burke County, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 27-1.

Davidson Fine Arts wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Johnson on the 4th. Burke County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
