Basketball Recap: Enterprise Skates Past Water Canyon with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Enterprise over Water Canyon in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Enterprise Wolves blew the Water Canyon Wildcats out of the water with a 60-25 final score. With the Wolves ahead 30-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Leading Enterprise to victory were Jaycee Barlow and Eliza Balajadia. Barlow dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Balajadia posted 12 points along with eight boards and five assists. That's the most boards Balajadia has posted since back in December of 2023. Kylah Humphries was another key player, putting up five points.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alysha Cooke, who earned seven points in addition to ten rebounds and three blocks. Cooke has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Martha Jessop, who scored seven points and nine rebounds.

The win got Enterprise back to even at 8-8. As for Water Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Enterprise has already played their next game, a 53-20 victory against Parowan on the 21st. As for Water Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-41 defeat against South Sevier on the 21st.
