Basketball Recap: Ecorse Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Ecorse was the 63-46 winner over Richard when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Ecorse Raiders received a blow on Friday as they fell 63-47 to the Richard Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Pioneers are ranked 20th).

Ecorse's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Richard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Ecorse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richard, they will square off against Arbor Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Richard knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 contests -- so hopefully Arbor Prep likes a good challenge.
