Baseball Game Preview: Charleroi Cougars vs. Bethlehem Center Bulldogs

The Charleroi Cougars will take on the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Charleroi fell victim to Belle Vernon and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Leopards. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Leopards: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Center came up short against Carmichaels on Wednesday and fell 4-1.

Bethlehem Center saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Bethlehem Center has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Charleroi, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
