Basketball Recap: The Rock Victorious

The Rock posted their closest victory since February 20th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech Tigers, sneaking past 65-63. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Tigers are ranked 181st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Rock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the The Rock Lions challenge the Newberry Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westminster at 3:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
