Basketball Game Preview: Manawa Wolves vs. Amherst Falcons

Manawa is 1-9 against Amherst since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Manawa is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wolves were outmatched by the Chargers and fell 73-14. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-10.

Meanwhile, Amherst strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 51-41 win over Iola-Scandinavia. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Manawa, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
