Rockbridge County scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Buffalo Gap Bison. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bison recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Buffalo Gap, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will head out to square off against Turner Ashby at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Buffalo Gap will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Rappahannock County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
