Basketball Recap: Alabama Christian Academy Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Alabama Christian Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 411th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alabama Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Alabama Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Andalusia at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Andalusia will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Alabama Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marbury at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Marbury is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
