Softball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest couldn't beat Highland on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights lost 15-5 to the Rams. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Mya Weatherly was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hillcrest and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Highland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will take on Idaho Falls at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Highland, they will face off against Pocatello at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
