Baseball Game Preview: Osseo-Fairchild Thunder vs. Independence/Gilmanton Indees

Osseo-Fairchild hasn't had much luck against Independence/Gilmanton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Thunder will challenge the Indees at 5:00 p.m. Osseo-Fairchild will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Osseo-Fairchild's victory against Eleva-Strum wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder's pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 2-0 shutout on Monday. Give the Thunder's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Independence/Gilmanton's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on Saturday. The Indees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Osseo-Fairchild's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Independence/Gilmanton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
