Even though the Central Catholic Buttons scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the St. Thomas Catholic Eagles still came out on top. St. Thomas Catholic walked away with a 65-56 win over the Buttons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Thomas Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Aron Valentine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. James Paul ulm iii was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.

St. Thomas Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-15. As for Central Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Thomas Catholic will take on the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against the Apaches at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Antonian Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully the Buttons likes a good challenge.
