Softball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Takes a Loss

If Bishop McDevitt was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Susquehanna Township on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the Berks Catholic Saints by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Katelyn Roadcap made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Bishop McDevitt now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Berks Catholic, their record now sits at 5-8.

The Crusaders (ranked 438th) will meet Red Land (ranked 136th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Berks Catholic will face off against Twin Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (418 vs. 75).
