Baseball Recap: Davenport Takes a Loss

Davenport suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Stroud Tigers, falling 13-4. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Davenport saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Mitchell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Davenport fell to 7-1. As for Stroud, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Davenport will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Depew at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Stroud, they will take on Tonkawa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stroud will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
