 The Culver Academies Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the La Lumiere Lakers at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Culver Academies is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6  runs per game  this season.
 Culver Academies is probably headed into the  matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering New Prairie just ended the team's  six-game winning streak  on Thursday. They lost  11-1 to the Cougars. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Culver Academies has scored all season.
 Culver Academies saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Foster Stockton, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double. Stockton has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 Meanwhile,  everything went La Lumiere's way against Non Varsity Opponent on Saturday as La Lumiere made off with  a  14-4 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for La Lumiere.
  Brady Monaghan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  hit while striking out 21 over six innings pitched. Monaghan was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news, La Lumiere let  Henry Macri and  Josh Jaracz loose on the outfield. Macri  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances, while  Jaracz  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.  Charlie Peck was another key contributor,  going 4-for-5 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Culver Academies' defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for La Lumiere, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
 Tuesday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Culver Academies has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .468.
