Basketball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for Canton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canton). They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 victory over the Massena Raiders on Tuesday. The Golden Bears pushed the score to 49-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Massena lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chris Boyea, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Taylor Mitchell was another key player, going 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points.

Canton's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Massena, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Canton will venture away from home to square off against Harrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Massena and Saranac Lake will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th.
