Baseball Recap: Hodgdon Comes Up Short

Hodgdon suffered their biggest loss since April 23, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the Fort Fairfield Tigers. The Hawks have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hodgdon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fort Fairfield, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hodgdon will venture away from home to challenge Central Aroostook at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fort Fairfield, they will head out to square off against Wisdom at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Pioneers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
