Kailey Miller and Lily Shipe did most of the damage at the plate: Miller went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Shipe went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiley McMahon, who went 2-for-6 with three RBI and one run.
Black Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Centralia. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
Not much got past Lilly Camp, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Centralia off the board. Camp has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Zoe Vessey was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Scotlyn Lecomte was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Black Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Aberdeen, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
