The Maxwell Wildcats will square off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Maxwell will be strutting in after a victory while Arapahoe will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row dating back to last season, Maxwell turned things around against Brady on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 61-41 win. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Maxwell can attribute much of their success to Jesse Reyes, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, and Cole Huffman, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 21 points. That's the most points Huffman has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Vega, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe ended up a good deal behind Blue Hill on Saturday and lost 55-38. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost three in a row.
Maxwell will have to contain Gage Gooden as he made an impact in Arapahoe's last game. He went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Arapahoe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Maxwell's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Maxwell has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Arapahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
