Simmons has gone 9-1 against Leland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Simmons Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Leland Cubs at 7:00 p.m. Simmons will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Simmons is returning to their home court after beating West Tallahatchie on theirs, despite the fact West Tallahatchie has dominated at home this season. Simmons escaped with a win on Friday against West Tallahatchie by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50.

Simmons got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Moesha Hoskins out in front who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and seven steals. Hoskins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sa'Riyah Alexander, who posted eight points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Leland hadn't done well against Shaw recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Leland slipped by Shaw 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Cubs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Leland and bumps their season record up to 9-13. As for Simmons, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-0.

Everything came up roses for Simmons against Leland in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the squad secured a 74-32 victory. In that matchup, Simmons amassed a halftime lead of 45-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
