After a string of four wins, Gridley's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hamilton Braves. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

While Gridley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Iris Counihan paced Gridley's offense, picking up nine kills. Counihan got some help from Isabel Santillan and her 20 assists. Tati Rivero controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gridley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Hamilton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Gridley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against University Prep on the 9th. As for Hamilton, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Colusa on the 10th.
