Softball Recap: Meadowbrook Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Meadowbrook can now relate to. They fell just short of the West Holmes Knights by a score of 7-6 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Colts have lost by just one run.

Addie Schultice and Sommer Ginn did some serious damage despite the final result: Schultice went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Ginn went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Ginn is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Meadowbrook and nudges their season record down to 19-8. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for West Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 12-17.

As of now, neither Meadowbrook nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
