Softball Recap: Malvern Takes a Loss

Malvern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 5-0 to the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Monday.

Ashlyn Bush spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

Malvern's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Coming up, Malvern will challenge Garaway at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Conotton Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
