Softball Game Preview: Central Golden Eagles vs. West Springfield Terriers

Central is on a three-game streak of home losses, and West Springfield a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Central Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Springfield Terriers at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Central came up short against Northampton on Wednesday, falling 13-7.

Meanwhile, West Springfield fell victim to Monson and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Mustangs.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Central's way against West Springfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Central made off with an 18-4 win. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Terriers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
