Softball Recap: Wynford Takes a Loss

Wynford made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mohawk, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Royals fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Royals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Wynford's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mohawk, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Mohawk will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Ada at 5:00 p.m. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Wynford will be paying especially close attention to Mohawk's matchup: after Mohawk faces off against Ada, they'll take on Wynford again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
