Baseball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Beth Tfiloh

Beth Tfiloh entered their tilt with St. John's Catholic Prep on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Vikings. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2017.

The team relied heavily on Ami Bresler, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Jordan Gladstone was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Beth Tfiloh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.

Beth Tfiloh's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Beth Tfiloh is taking a road trip to challenge Berman Hebrew Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they will take on Annapolis Area Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
