Soccer Recap: North Lamar Comes Up Short

North Lamar was the 4-3 winner over Pleasant Grove when they last played one another back in March of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hawks who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Pleasant Grove Hawks got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the North Lamar Panthers' six. Colt Fendley probably wasn't too happy after the matchup: he scored every single goal for North Lamar and still walked away on the losing team.

North Lamar has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Pleasant Grove, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coincidentally, North Lamar and Pleasant Grove will both be playing Chapel Hill the next time they take the pitch. The Panthers will host the Red Devils at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
