Tumwater falls despite strong effort from Sahara Anthony III

Recap: Tumwater Thunderbirds vs. WF West Bearcats

After a string of seven wins, the Tumwater Thunderbirds's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 71-57 to WF West. Tumwater was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as WF West apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 10th.

Despite the loss, Tumwater still got an impressive performance from Sahara Anthony III, who scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anthony III has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Morgan, who scored 15 points along with five assists.

Tumwater's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for WF West, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Tumwater will head out on the road to challenge Black Hills at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for WF West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rochester is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
