Basketball Recap: University School's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

University School lost against Lutheran West back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The University School Preppers came up short against the Lutheran West Longhorns, falling 75-55. While losing is never fun, the Preppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Longhorns are ranked 32nd).

University School's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5. As for Lutheran West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

University School has already played their next match, a 69-65 defeat against Hawken on the 25th. As for Lutheran West, they will host Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutheran West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Twinsburg likes a good challenge.
