Soccer Game Preview: Westover vs. E.E. Smith + How To Watch

The Westover Wolverines will head out to challenge the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Westover took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Seventy-First 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for Westover as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, E.E. Smith hadn't done well against Douglas Byrd recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Golden Bulls came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 4-3.

Michael Fuller and Moises Rosal scored all four of E.E. Smith's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

E.E. Smith's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10-1. As for Westover, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Westover came out on top in a nail-biter against E.E. Smith in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
