While Clements didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Shoals Christian Flame on Tuesday as the Clements Colts made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jason Harwell, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 contests. Grayson Craig was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

The victory was the third in a row for Clements, bringing their record for this year to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Shoals Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clements will host Colbert Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shoals Christian, they will welcome Lexington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
