There's no place like home for Woodland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Scott City Rams 3-2 on Monday. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.
Woodland wouldn't go down easily and took Scott City into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 28-26, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10.
Makayla Altenthal paced Woodland's offense, picking up 17 kills. Altenthal got some help from Mollie Long and her 22 assists. Finally, Altenthal was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
