After a string of four wins, Lake Oconee Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln County Red Devils. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lincoln County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Syriah Hogan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Hogan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Janiah Norman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Lake Oconee Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Lincoln County, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Lake Oconee Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 38-31 victory against Towns County on the 18th. Lincoln County has also already played their next game (against Greene County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
