Baseball Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Comes Up Short

Wallace-Rose Hill fell victim to South Lenoir and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on April 1st.

Wallace-Rose Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Liu, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Wallace-Rose Hill and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for South Lenoir, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace-Rose Hill will head out to face off against James Kenan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Lenoir, they will head out on the road to square off against North Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
