 Valley Christian came tearing into  Friday's  contest with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Gilbert Christian Knights with a sharp  21-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Valley Christian, who have now won 15 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Bree Hanzal was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  hit, only one  earned run over four innings pitched. Hanzal was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Caymen Ferber was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more  RBI the last five times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Abrielle Jarles, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 On Gilbert Christian's side,  Maddie Haiduk was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in all two of her plate appearances.
 Valley Christian has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 13 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record  this season. As for Gilbert Christian, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with that  defeat, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Valley Christian will head out on the road to  take on  Sabino at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Valley Christian will be hoping to continue their six-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last. As for Gilbert Christian, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Benjamin Franklin, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:00  p.m. Gilbert Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game this season.
