Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Knights vs. Monroe Hornets

The Northwest Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the Monroe Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Northwest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-47 to Indian Hill.

Meanwhile, Monroe came up short against Waynesville on Tuesday and fell 64-53.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Northwest came up short against Monroe in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, falling 55-51. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
