Baseball Recap: Plainfield South Takes a Loss

Plainfield South suffered their closest defeat since April 19th on Friday. They fell just short of the Plainfield Central Wildcats by a score of 8-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-4 defeat on Tuesday.

Plainfield South's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-16. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Plainfield South will take on rival Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Plainfield Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
