Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Celebration Storm, falling 22-7. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Celebration, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Celebration, they will square off against Dr. Phillips at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11.3 runs per game this season.
