Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Thunderbirds vs. Antigo Red Robins

The Lakeland Thunderbirds just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Antigo Red Robins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lakeland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 68 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Wausau West on Thursday. They were dealt an 89-30 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Warriors are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, Antigo came up short against Shawano Community on Tuesday and fell 54-42. The Red Robins haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Antigo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
