Football Game Preview: George Jenkins Eagles vs. Durant Cougars

George Jenkins has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Durant has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Eagles will welcome the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (George Jenkins 6, Durant 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.

Last Thursday, George Jenkins really took it to McKeel Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-13 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

George Jenkins had a senior duo take command as Morgan Walsh picked up 200 receiving yards and a pair of TDs and Daphne Goff threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Walsh showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 65 yards.

George Jenkins didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Walsh led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Durant's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 12-6 to Bloomingdale.

Durant's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for George Jenkins, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
