Baseball Recap: Inlet Grove Comes Up Short

Inlet Grove scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 21-3 to the Glades Central Raiders. The defeat leaves the Hurricanes still looking for their first win of the season.

Brandon McNaughton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Tyrique Alty also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Inlet Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Glades Central, they moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their 12-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Inlet Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Atlantic Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Inlet Grove has given up an average of 22 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Glades Central, they will challenge Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln Park Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.14 runs per game on average), something Glades Central will no doubt try to take advantage of.
