Flag Football Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors

The Mountain View Mountain Lions will square off against the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eagle Ridge Academy will be up against a hot Mountain View squad: the team just extended their winning streak to ten. The Mountain Lions claimed a resounding 53-0 win over Gateway. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mountain Lions considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Mountain View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ellie Roberts, Lydia Okiyama, and Jesika Hopkins picked up one apiece. Okiyama got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy got themselves on the board against Thornton on Wednesday, but Thornton never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 26-0 victory.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
