Valley Falls put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the St. Marys Bears with a sharp 7-1 victory. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Dragons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Collin Kearney and Hayden Kearney were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Kearney struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Hayden pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Collin has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Kearney went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Hayden scored three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was AJ Reeves, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Damian Cervantez was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Valley Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive contests.

Valley Falls pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Marys, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-1.

Valley Falls has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 defeat against Silver Lake on the 10th. As for St. Marys, they will square off against Riley County on Monday. The Bears are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
