Basketball Game Preview: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Madison County Cowboys

The Chiles Timberwolves will face off against the Madison County Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chiles is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.

Chiles is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Florida State University High School on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Chiles had to suffer through a 78-50 loss at the hands of Florida State University High School. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Seminoles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Chiles got top-tier performance from Gabe Parks, who went 9 of 20 en route to 20 points and seven boards. Parks' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Bundrage, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Madison County waltzed into their game on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They claimed a resounding 71-25 victory over the War Eagles. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Madison County is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Chiles, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Chiles barely slipped by Madison County in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 56-55. Does Chiles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madison County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
