Basketball Recap: Kearney Takes a Loss

Kearney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Liberty Blue Jays didn't end well, with the Kearney Bulldogs falling 55-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Blue Jays are ranked 92nd).

Kearney's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Liberty, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Kearney will take on Winnetonka at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty has already played their next contest (against Oak Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
