Basketball Game Preview: South Haven Rams vs. Berrien Springs Shamrocks

South Haven and Berrien Springs are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The South Haven Rams will take on the Berrien Springs Shamrocks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Haven is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Watervliet 72-57 on Friday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Panthers are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Berrien Springs entered their tilt with Zeeland West on Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dux, sneaking past 50-48.

South Haven's record is now 10-2. As for Berrien Springs, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Things could have been worse for South Haven, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Berrien Springs in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can South Haven avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
