Game recap

Orland (Calif.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 24-6 win over Willows (Calif.).

The Trojans scored seven points in the first quarter. Orland scored on a passing touchdown and a touchdown.

After taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter, OHS led 14-0 at the half.

The Trojans expanded their lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. Orland scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal.

The Honkers' Ulises Esparza was the standout player for his team. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown.

Willows' lone touchdown came on a 12-yard pass from Esparza to Chris Walter in the third quarter.

A 52-0 Orland victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The win was a nice bounce back for the Trojans, which lost to Central Valley last week, 19-7.

In a non-conference game next week Willows (1-2) takes on Corning, and Orland (2-1) will go up against Gridley in a Butte View game.
