Softball Recap: Danville Drops Season-High Score on Washington County

Danville scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 24-13 to the Washington County Commanders. The Admirals have struggled against the Commanders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Sienna Frink made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Dre'Ana White was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Washington County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-13-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville will take on Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Washington County, they will face off against Burgin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Commanders are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
