Basketball Game Preview: Cranston West Falcons vs. Tiverton Tigers

The Cranston West Falcons will head out to square off against the Tiverton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cranston West is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Cranston West and Cranston East faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. Cranston West had just enough and edged Cranston East out 46-43.

Meanwhile, Tiverton came up short against Rogers on Thursday and fell 49-40. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Cranston West will need to focus on slowing down Caleb Purcell, one of several Tiverton players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points.

Cranston West pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Tiverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-1.

Cranston West didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Tiverton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cranston West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
