Softball Recap: Delran Bears vs. Lawrence Cardinals
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Delran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lawrence Cardinals, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Bears, who have now won three games in a row.
Olivia Powell spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Lily O'Connor was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Gemma DeJoseph was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Delran's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lawrence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
